Position:
Full-Time Project Engineer
Role:
The Project Engineer will be expected to conduct structural design and analysis using spreadsheets and other finite element analysis as appropriate to the projects. Review and manage the preparation of design drawings and specifications. Perform construction administration support. Assist in maintaining client relationships. Potentially train and manage support staff to follow company policies and procedures.
Job Duties and Requirements:
• Position involves structural analysis on various projects, multi-unit, mixed-use, single family, and commercial utilizing conventional wood framing, steel, masonry and concrete from inception through construction
• Participate in site investigations
• Lead construction and administration support project phases
• Occasionally attend networking events for business development
• Research and Continued Education is expected
• 3+ years of structural engineering experience in the United States, designing with timber, concrete, steel and masonry
• BS or MS degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering with an emphasis in Structural. MS is a plus
• Possess a CA Professional Engineering License (P.E.), In process of retaining S.E is a plus
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, RISA 3d, RISA Floor, Enercalc and Microsoft Office
• Prior experience in multi-unit and residential projects is a plus
• Commitment to long term employment with an interest in helping to propel our firm forward in the coming years

• Excellent verbal, written and computer skills. Must be able to coordinate and communicate with clients and staff on a constant basis
